Camstalgia is an iPhone camera app that takes photos in RAW on its classic camera and develops them the way a phone from 2007 to 2019 did.
Camstalgia turns your iPhone into the phone cameras of 2007 to 2019. Pick one of 14 phones, and its classic camera takes every photo in RAW and puts it through that phone’s processing: its photo size, lens view, sensor noise, sharpening, HDR and colour. Creative turns each year’s look up; Technical keeps the measured processing. No account, no ads, no servers.
Camstalgia is an iPhone camera app made by solo developer Sebastian Škoić in Slovenia. Each of its 14 phones, from 2007 to 2019, has its own camera screen in the style of its year and its own roll. Every classic photo is taken in RAW and developed with that phone’s photo size, lens view, sensor noise, noise reduction, sharpening, HDR and colour, based on published lab tests and reviews. Up to the 2016 phone it shoots through the iPhone’s ultra-wide camera, because the old sensors were tiny. On iOS 18 or later, Expert mode adds today’s camera, with its lenses, 4K video and 48 MP photos, with any old phone’s look. It has no account, no ads and no servers, and its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
Camstalgia is not affiliated with Apple. In the app, the old phones are shown as “!Phone 4” and so on, with camera screens drawn in our own style.
